Do I need a Website?

As a website designer I, of course, think everyone should have one. But it really depends of your use for the website. If your in business even if you just have a one page "brochure" type site it is probably worth it. Then on your after hours message on your phone you can invite potential clients to visit your website. That way at the least they can learn more about your business and how to contact you. What products do you use to develop websites?

I use: Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Color Schemer, Top Style pro, all web menu, projects seven style sheets and menus and any new software that helps. This is probably more than you wanted to know.

How much will it cost?

You should check our pricing page for more details. There are many factors involved in the final cost. But you will know your final cost from us before we begin any work. An example is our site is aprox. 22 pages, if we use your copy and standard graphics (or graphics you provide) and your logo, the total design cost would be $1275.

How long will it take?

General sites take from 2 to 6 weeks depending on complexity and the promptness of exchanges between you and I.

Who owns the completed Website?

You do. The site will be up and working before our business is complete. You will receive via mail a CD with you whole site on it. We do keep an archive copy in case you want us to do an changes or you copy gets destroyed.

What type of sites do you do?

We do fast loading, style driven sites, that look good and work on most browsers. We also do completely custom sites but the charges are different. Any Questions contact us.

Who will I be working with?

Me my name is Barney, owner and chief gofer for KodiBear Design. If I use any outside designers I will deal with them.

Do you use templates?

Yes and No.We don't use templates in the traditional way. We use style and layouts sheets( of which we have 1000's). You site will have it's own graphics, navigation, logos, colors, what ever you want. The style comes in the layout of the page itself. Any Questions contact us.

Why should I use a professional designer?

Why do you use a plumber, a car mechanic, or a carpenter? It is not that you couldn't learn these skills. But do you want to take the time and effort, and frankly end up with something that is not as professional in form and function. If you do, my suggestion is go ahead it is a strange and wonderful world.

What is your payment policy and what type of payments do you accept?

We receive 50% of your estimated total as a deposit prior to beginning work. We accept Visa or Master Card payments. The final payment is due immediately upon completion of the project.
If you pay by check we must ask for full payment up front and the check must clear before work begins. Usually 7-10 business days after we receive it. Once you have agreed to a design and work begins, the deposit is not refundable. If we cannot agree to a design the deposit will be refunded.

What are your Office hours?

Frankly we do not have set office hours. Sometimes we prefer to work odd hours to get the job done. If you visit our contact page you will generally receive an email answer, or phone call in one business day. You can even send us a letter via snail mail if you wish. Our current clients receive priorty and we respond to them first.

Can I make style changes after I approve the draft?

Yes, but due to the time it takes for such changes we change the hourly rate, currently $30 US per hour. A quote will be given before work begins.

Once the website is complete can I make changes to it?

Yes there is no hidden or encrypted code, you will need to invest in Web publishing software and you will need to learn how to use it. You will also need to learn how to transfer files to and from the Web. Any Questions contact us.

Need a more custom site, or have a larger business or project? Contact us, if we are unable to build a site for your needs, we will refer you to someone who can.

Don't forget we do custom logos and grapics also. You are charged the hourly fee for this service.
