Once your site is designed it needs a place to live. Most individual and small business sites, "lease" space on a server from a hosting company. The kodibear sites are a good example.

You can set up you own server, but the costs,expertise, and time required is beyond most individuals.

The only host we recommend directly is the one we use. There are thousands of choices out there. One thing to be sure of is you are not dealing with a "reseller" but the website host themselves.

Hosting requirements for smaller sites are usually met by most reputable hosts. Some things to consider are bandwidth, amount of space for you site, databases, number of emails accounts, and of course cost. You usually get what you pay for.
